An inviting pathway with the addition of contemporary cedar arches, leads you to this impressive new pool and relaxation area that transforms this large UK country garden into a serene oasis. The contemporary summerhouse design was extended on either side with bespoke cedar extensions, for gorgeous feature planting.
A real transformation from what was a plain, uninviting driveway without planting, has now become a stunning & contemporary entrance to this beautiful country home. The key to this large garden design project was to frame & soften the property and to create a great first impression.
A previously tired garden with an outdated design has been entirely modernised and is now a fabulous example of how a large garden can be beautifully transformed. An important part of the client’s brief was to connect the outdoors to the contemporary interior, which was clearly achieved. The main structural requirement of the garden was an additional terrace, which we created for relaxation and entertaining, paired with a stunning water rill and substantial planting using a peaceful limited colour palette.
A swimming pool in isolation with tired old paving was transformed into this impressive new outdoor entertainment space, together with full, attractive borders. One of the aims of this project was to bring structure and balance into the garden, including plenty of rich planting.
This garden was previously a blank canvas with no interest at all, as well as being very shallow. Within the design of the new garden, we incorporated a feature oak pergola to draw the eye and create the illusion of a larger garden. In addition to this, a new terrace was constructed for the family to enjoy al fresco dining & relaxing, together with the new garden having numerous borders filled to the brim with plants, to attract bees & butterflies.
This luxury new build property was in desperate need of a garden to compliment the fabulous home. We incorporated various elements into this garden, such as the superb swimming pool area, cool contemporary steel arches leading to a Japanese teahouse, together with a dedicated prairie border to encourage wildlife.
These lovely clients had an interesting brief, based on wanting to connect various purchases collected from garden shows over the years. Pictured is an example of one of the items, which is now framed beautifully with rich colourful planting. A curved pathway and semi circular borders were incorporated in the overall design, to create movement and a journey around the garden, which brought everything together perfectly.
This luxury new build property needed a stylish complimentary garden. This huge space required impact and a scale to match the large home, one of the ways we achieved this was by creating sharply angled connecting pathways which produced strong focal points, together with the addition of the crisply shaped outlines of the evergreen domes. Also, planting the sizeable borders with large drifts of colour, complimented the contemporary style of the garden.
